Whereas as a HD patient, you are dependent on a holiday dialysis centre, with peritoneal dialysis (PD) you can travel much more flexibly, whether you perform PD manually (CAPD) or automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) with a machine overnight. Don't give up your usual independence while travelling, whether it's just a short holiday or you prefer to fly far away. Experience from other PD patients how they travelled with PD.
