Save Salt!
- Use broth sparingly: 1 tsp of broth (grained or instant) contains about 3 g of cooking salt.
- Cook pasta, rice and potatoes without salt if they are served with sauce or further processed in a casserole.
- Olives, anchovy fillets or capers contain large amounts of salt. Reduce the amount and chop these ingredients.
- Use lemon juice in combination with salt for seasoning: this can significantly reduce the amount of salt.
